- Kat Edmonson's new album The Big Picture was mastered by Jeff Lipton for Sony Masterworks. It was produced by the amazing Mitchell Froom and David Boucher.
- Jeff Lipton mastered PHOX's new album PHOX for Partisan Records. The album was recorded and produced by Brian Joseph, and mixed by Michael Brauer.

- Jeff Lipton and Maria Rice attended the Grammys. They were nominated for their mastering and restoration work on the Syl Johnson: The Complete Mythology release by Numero Group. Ken Shipley, Rob Sevier, Tom Lunt, and Michael Slaboch of the Numero Group were also there. Though we lost to Sir Paul McCartney, it was a great honor to be nominated.
- Congratulations to Bon Iver for winning two Grammys! We were fortunate to have mastered the radio singles, "Halocene," "Towers," and "Calgary."
- Andrew Bird's new album, Break It Yourself, mastered by Jeff Lipton, comes out March 6th on Mom + Pop.
- We mastered the Magnetic Fields' new album, Love at the Bottom of the Sea, which comes out March 6th on Merge Records.
- Jeff Lipton mastered S. Carey's EP, Hoyas, produced by Justin Vernon and Brian Joseph for Jagjaguwar.
- The new Polica album, Give You the Ghost, produced by the amazing Jim Eno and Ryan Olson and mastered by Jeff Lipton, is out.

- At the Grammys Arcade Fire won Album Of The Year! Congratulations to Arcade Fire and Merge Records! This is a huge and well-deserved win for a small independent label that has been putting out incredible records for 21 years, and for an amazing band whose work more than merits this recognition.
- Superchunk's first new album in nine years, Majesty Shredding, was mastered at Peerless Mastering by Jeff Lipton.
- Congratulations to Josh Ritter on the release of his new album, So Runs the World Away, recorded and produced by Sam Kassirer.

- Jeff mastered Josh Ritter's upcoming album, So Runs the World Away.
- Jeff Lipton will be participating in a panel at this year's South By Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin, Texas. The panel, titled "In the Studio," will be held in the Austin Convention Center on Saturday, March 20 from 11AM-12PM.
- Peerless Mastering will be sponsoring the Tape Op Party 2010 at South By Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin, Texas at Beauty Bar from 2-6PM on Friday, March 19th.
- Peerless is proud to be a Premiere Sponsor of the first annual Together: The New England Electronic Music Festival . Together is the first of its kind in Boston, designed to celebrate and promote electronic music in all its facets. It comprises nearly 40 events and features over 100 local and international talents including Lee Burridge, Justin Martin, and Damian Lazarus.
- Peerless is launching its new website, designed by The Barbarian Group. We'd like to thank everyone who worked on the site, with special thanks to Rick Webb, Benjamin Palmer, and Erica Kung for making this happen for us and being so awesome.
- Battles' Tyondai Braxton's solo album, Central Market, was released on Warp to rave reviews by Pitchfork, Bjork, and the BBC. This album was mastered at Peerless by Jeff Lipton.
- Andrew Bird's eagerly anticipated Noble Beast, mastered at Peerless by Jeff Lipton, is due for release on January 20 on Fat Possum. The self-produced album consists of 14 original songs recorded primarily at the Beech House in Nashville, with additional recording taking place at various Chicago and Minneapolis locations over a period of five months with the talented engineers Mark Nevers and David Boucher. It will be available as a standard CD release and as a limited-edition deluxe two-CD package, additionally featuring Useless Creatures, Bird's instrumental companion to Noble Beast. Peerless has previously had the privilege of mastering Bird's Fingerlings series of live recordings.
- We mastered several projects for Merge Records this year including the 14-CD set SCORE!, 20 Years of Merge Records; SCORE!, 20 Years of Merge Records the covers (covers done by The Shins, Ryan Adams, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Lavender Diamond, Apple in Stereo, Barbara Manning, The Mountain Goats, and The New Pornographers); Wye Oak's The Knot; The Clientele's Bonfires on the Heath; and Superchunk's Leaves in the Gutter.
- Peerless Mastering's Jeff Lipton also mastered the new album by Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears for Lost Highway Records. The album, which will be available on January 27th, 2009, was produced by Spoon's Jim Eno at Public Hi-fi in Austin, Texas.
- John Brown's Body's album, Amplify, debuted on #1 on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums. The album was mastered by Jeff Lipton for Easy Star.
- Peerless recently completed Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band, a dub version of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, for Easy Star.
- The Submarines song "You, Me & the Bourgeoisie" was featured in the Apple 3G ad. The song is off their new album Honeysuckle Weeks on Nettwerk Records.
- Congratulations to The Magnetic Fields on the release of their latest, Distortion, on Nonesuch. The album received a glowing 8.0 Pitchfork review, a 4 star Rolling Stone review, and another 8 in NME.
- Spoon had Jeff Lipton master their new Don't You Evah EP for Merge featuring remixes of their single "Don't You Evah."
- 2007 was an amazing year at Peerless Mastering, during which we were fortunate enough to work on over 400 projects. Notable among the many excellent projects: Battles (Warp), Constantine Maroulis (American Idol), Spoon (Merge), The Magnetic Fields (Nonesuch), Josh Ritter (Sony/BMG/Independent Records /V2 Records. ), Blues Traveler, Andrew W. K. (Load), The Click 5 (Atlantic Records), Big D and the Kid's Table (Side One Dummy), Back Drop Bomb (Toy's Factory), The Clientele (Merge), Geoff Farina (Southern Records), The Simple Life: Campfire Songs (Nettwerk), Wheat (Empyrean Records), Bobb Trimble (Secretly Canadian), The Submarines (Nettwerk), Styrofoam (Nettwerk), and What Made Milwaukee Famous (Barsuk).
